Project Overview
The Problem
Despite India’s rich legal framework protecting women’s rights, only few of women are aware of their basic legal rights. This literacy gap leaves millions vulnerable to exploitation and unaware of available support systems.
The Solution
Target Audience
Research Foundation
The Legal Literacy Gap
Key Research Findings:
- 65.3% overall female literacy rate in India
- 40% legal literacy awareness among women
- 91% aware of free legal aid availability
- 10% have actually applied for legal aid
“Knowledge of rights is not just power—it’s protection. Every woman deserves to know the laws that safeguard her dignity, safety, and opportunities.”
