Law School Diaries

A Visual Journey Through 5 Years Of Law School
Law School Diaries is a personal visual project capturing my journey through law school – blending emotional doodles, reflections, and redesigned legal content. It showcases how I use creativity to make law more human, relatable and enganging.

About This Journey

Why I decided to document the raw, unfiltered experience of law school through art and reflection

When I started law school, I thought I knew what I was getting into. I had read the statistics, heard the stories, and prepared myself mentally. But nothing could have truly prepared me for the emotional rollercoaster that would define the next Six years of my life.

This project is more than just a portfolio piece—it’s a testament to the shared struggle of law students everywhere. Through creative documentation, personal artwork, and authentic storytelling, I hope to shed light on both the challenges and triumphs of legal education.

Searching for Color

This page reminds me of my fight to find happiness during the dullest days. I tried to add color—literally and emotionally —whenever I could, even if everything else felt grey.

Letter to My Past Self

Words of wisdom from my future self to the anxious pre-law student I once was
Dear Past Self,

I know you’re sitting there with your acceptance letter, heart racing with excitement and terror. You’re wondering if you’re smart enough, if you belong, if you can handle what’s coming. Let me tell you something: you’re stronger than you know.

Yes, that first cold call will be terrifying. Yes, you’ll question everything during your first semester. You’ll cry over case briefs, lose sleep over exams, and wonder if you made the right choice. But here’s what I wish I could have told you then:

Those moments of doubt? They’re not signs of weakness—they’re signs that you’re growing. Every struggle is building the lawyer you’re meant to become. That resilience you’ll develop, that critical thinking you’ll master, that empathy you’ll deepen—these aren’t just academic achievements. They’re the foundation of who you are becoming.

You’ll learn that law school isn’t just about memorizing cases or impressing professors. It’s about finding your voice, your values, your place in the world of justice. You’ll discover that vulnerability is not weakness—it’s courage.

Be kind to yourself. Celebrate small victories. Ask for help when you need it. And remember—you’re not just studying law, you’re learning to be human in one of humanity’s most important professions.

You’ve got this.

With love and wisdom,
Your Future Self

Looking Forward

From law student to legal professional: my aspirations and goals
My Vision
As I transition from law student to practicing attorney, I carry with me not just legal knowledge, but empathy, resilience, and a deep understanding of the human experience. I aspire to be a lawyer who remembers what it felt like to struggle, who advocates with compassion, and who contributes to making the legal profession more supportive and inclusive.

“Art saved my sanity during law school. Every doodle was a breath of creativity in an analytical world.”
